Mohd Ali Samsudin is an associate professor in the School of Educational Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia. His expertise and research interests are STEM Education, Digital Learning, Computerized Adaptive Testing, Psychometrics and Analyzing Big Data using Social Network Analysis and R Statistics. In 2018, he was appointed by the Teacher Education Division, MOE, to lead a national project to develop an instrument Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) competency among Science and Math teachers in Malaysia. In 2021, he was appointed by the Resource and Educational Technology Division, MOE, to develop an instrument to measure Malaysian teachers' digital competency. In 2021, he has also been appointed as one of the national experts for the Malaysia Smart School Qualification Standard. Hiroshima University, Japan, has appointed him to lead African and Asian researchers to study the impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Schools in Asian and African regions.

He has brought with him a wealth of experience in technological adoption of learning & teaching particularly in higher education; which include digital learning & teaching, blended learning & teaching, online learning & teaching, performing arts & creative media, communication & media-related strategies and importantly understanding the learning & teaching needs of Gen Y, Z and Alpha. Adrian is currently pursuing his Doctor of Philosophy (Arts) with Monash University. His thesis examines the effects on podcast and vodcast as digital instructional learning objects within a self-directed learning environment. Adrian is currently the Board Member for Cambridge International Education Advisory Board representing Southeast Asia and Pacific from September 2020 onwards.
